Anna Newman

Mrs. Anna L. Insco Newman, age 90, of Bowling Green, KY, passed away at the Auburn Health Care in Auburn, KY. Funeral services for Mrs. Newman are scheduled to be conducted at Cone Funeral Home Thursday, September 8, 2022 at 3:00 PM. Visitation with the family will be from 11:00 am until time of service at 3:00 pm. Burial will follow next day, Friday, September 9, 2022 at 12:00 PM at the Kentucky Veteran Cemetery West in Hopkinsville, KY where she will be laid to rest beside her husband. Anna was born May 18, 1932, in Lewisburg, KY to the late Clyde Insco and the late Vernie Cain. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Black Newman, Jr. , her daughter Jo Ann Mattingly; her sisters, Jean Anderson, and Dorothy Toomey; and her brother in laws, Jay Anderson and James Toomey. She is survived by her sons, James Newman, and Wayne Newman; grandchildren, Christopher Newman, Susan Newman, Eric Newman, Shane Driskill, Lorrie Driskill, Crystal Gillingham, Shar Newman, and Teddy Newman as well as twenty-one great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren; sisters, Lana Williams and Edna Cornelius. Anna worked as a CNA and fostered several children. She loved gardening and watching hummingbirds. She also enjoyed crossword puzzles and quilting.
